Ford 1.6L EcoBoost Belt Driven Dry Sump System

AT Power's unique Ford 1.6L EcoBoost Belt Driven lightweight precision machined billet aluminium Dry Sump System has been developed with and undergone rigours testing by our product partners Raptor Sports Cars UK to ensure prevention of engine oil starvation (surge) due to G-force levels experienced during race conditions, lowering engine oil temperatures, and freeing up more of a race engines potential horsepower.

The low-profile Sump Pan accommodates fitment into those vehicles with low ground clearance, making this product ideal for Kit Cars such as the Raptor, Westfield, and Caterham models as well as mid mounted engine installations.

AT Power's Ford 1.6L EcoBoost belt driven Dry Sump Systems are supplied with a CNC machined billet aluminium high efficiency 2-Stage Oil Pump, offering outstanding oil displacements from the two x 11.9 L/Min @ 1000 RPM twin Scavenge Stages, being suitable for engine speeds up to 9000 RPM, removing the aeriated oil from the Sump Pan and returning it back to a remote oil tank, increasing the engines oil supply capacity.

The Oil Pump with its extended nose and mounting plate is positioned on to the inlet side of the engine block in the existing Air Con location, being driven via the Crankshaft Pulley and HTD Drive Belt supplied. This system retains Fords original (OEM) high efficiency variable displacement Oil Pressure Pump which is directly fed from a remote Oil Tank. The Oil Pumps supply and return hose connections are JIC-12 and we recommend a minimum of a 5-litre Oil Tank and either an air type Oil Cooler with a minimum 18 rows or a Laminova type Oil Cooler.

The Sump Pan is supplied fully assembled with integrated windage tray for maximum oil circulation and flow, with Aeroquip hose connections between the low profile scavenge turrets and the Oil Pump. With the oil being drawn (scavenged) directly from the low-profile Oil Pan, engine crankcase pressures are reduced minimising the oil drag on the crankshaft and lowering Piston resistance which in turn improves the engines horsepower.

PLEASE NOTE!

Pump displacements stated are for guidance only as pump efficiencies can be affected by multiple external factors.
